Well, you may have noticed that I not updated the status of MiniVideoPlayer here, right? The truth is that since January the project is in frozen, and have no date to return. Right now I'm still working on project Guillemot at Mandriva, but on MiniLauncher app.

  When MiniVideoPlayer return to life (I have a lot of ideas to it using Qt 4.5), I'll post news here again. However, if the project finally "die", I'll turn it on a personal development project

  The new year began these days, I returned from vacation in Jan 05 and we already have new things to post! Start looking to some new screenshots about some changes:

  We can now scroll the directory text name! With this new feature you can view the complete directory name (like "ThisFolderHasA_HyperBlasterSuperMegaExtraordionaryGiganticNameYouKnow/", same as the images above) with justpointing your  mouse over the directory. The image 1 is a normal state, 2 and 3 are with the scrolling feature activated and finally, the image 4 is when the mouse isn't more over on a scrollable directory name.And yes, now we have keyboard navigation too! You can also point some directory or video with your keyboard. See on the end of the article the key bindings until now.

  Hi, finally I decided put here some screenshots of a project that I'm developing with Gustavo Boiko at Mandriva Conectiva.

 MiniVideoPlayer is a video media center writed in C++ with QT4 and Phonon. The goal of this project is to have a video media center for the new net(mini)books on the market.

  The base idea is: list a directory, show the videos, navigate trough the dirs and videos and see the selected video. Phonon give us the chance to do it faster than start all the things from scratch. But really it isn't just call the correct functions. We need to plain all the functions and navigation system, to let the use experience more intuitive.

  Here are some screenshots of the project, I already did a lot of things, but there is much to do yet...

  In this  first screen, we can see the base directory listing, showing the base videos storage location. All the folders and videos are each one widgets that receive some events, like mouseOver, play, changeDir and anothers functions to navigate.
